From Rego Park, Great Neck and Garden City are closer than parts of Brooklyn. We take on bathroom, kitchen and basement projects in western Nassau County for homeowners who want a crew that does the work itself rather than subcontracting every trade.

Long Island houses give us room to work: detached single-family homes with full basements, attached garages and the space to stage materials. Permits run through the town or village building department instead of the NYC DOB, and each one has its own forms, fees and inspection schedule. We have done the paperwork before and we build the timeline around it.

Permits and building rules

Outside the five boroughs, permits are issued by the town or incorporated village: North Hempstead, Hempstead, or villages such as Great Neck Plaza and Garden City each have their own building department. Nassau County also requires its own home improvement license, which we hold or obtain for the job as required. Expect a plan review for layout changes and inspections at rough-in and final.
