Tile Setter

You will set the showers, floors and backsplashes that end up on our projects page. Most weeks are bathroom work in Queens: full waterproofed showers, large-format walls, pebble and mosaic floors. You work with a lead and a helper, and the substrate is prepped before you arrive. Pay depends on experience; we will talk numbers on the first call.
What we look for
- Three or more years setting porcelain, ceramic and stone in bathrooms and kitchens
- Comfortable with large-format tile, leveling systems, niches and benches
- Understands waterproofing systems and why they come first
- Own hand tools; reliable transport to job sites across Queens and NYC
- Takes pride in clean grout lines and a swept site
